what do u think of palytex ventaire bottles for newborns??
i am due in few weeks and planning to alternate between breastfeeding and bottlefeeding, there are so many choices out there that i cant make up my mind, but i heard that the playtex ventaire bottles are good coz they reduce colic and gas as their bent shape help reduce the air trapped in the bottle, what do u think??

They are great, i won’t use anything else!
My son is currently using them, and my 3y/o daughter used them as well. They are my favorite. My second choice would be Dr. Brown’s.
We used Avent bottles with our first two, but now there is more talk about Biosphenol contamination so we went with the soft pliable plastic bottles. They don’t contain Biosphenol, and they vary in price from $1.00 each to $20.00. We chose the cheaper cute colored (purple, green and blue) from Babies R Us, Gerber.
I couldn’t believe that the baby loved these just as much as the more expensive ones…but he did. No problems at all.
these were my favorite bottles. However I too would recommend not buying a lot of any one kind until you know what baby likes for sure.
good luck and God bless!!
I love the Ventaire bottles. In addition to the advantages you listed, they are easier to clean because you can take off the bottoms. However, I did have trouble with the nipple–not that the formula came out too fast, but that it came out too slow. The Ventaire comes with a nipple that has a closed cross-shaped hole it instead of a round hole. The idea is that when the baby sucks, the flaps open, but my baby wasn’t getting anything from them. We are using a standard nipple from a different brand with the Ventaire bottles–the ones we like come two for about $2, so it’s no big deal, especially since you go through three different stages of nipples as the baby gets older. And by the way, I didn’t like Dr. Brown’s–too hard to clean. So I agree with the suggestion to just get one or two of a few different brands to see what will work best for your baby, and buy some really cheap ones you won’t mind throwing away or donating so you have enough to start with. You will be bound to be running to the baby supply store sooner after delivery than you hohpe, no matter how hard you try to be prepared, so it won’t be a big deal to get more of the ones you decide you like.
They are o.k. It seemed like they gave my son alot of Gas and he end up with a tummy ache. Also the veniture bottles have many peices. So I just use the Playtex drop-ins and they are great . We have had no problems. But every baby is different.
A friend of mine breast feed but when she went back to work she started her baby on the bottle and the veniture was the only ones he would take.
