Q. I am looking for a belly-band or belly-wrap, it goes around an infants belly to help with colic?
How to Help or Ease Colic Archives
I have tried everything warm baths, tummy massages and even gripe water and mylicon drops. I don’t know what else to do, I even changed his formula to Gentle Ease for fussy and gassy babies. I am so tired and I don’t get much rest because he cries so much. Any suggestions??!!!
I’m really starting to lose my mind. I’m just looking for suggestions to help comfort my baby. My husband works double shifts half an hour away so I’m alone from 2:30am – 7:30pm with my little screaming machine. Help!
(I use mylicon gas drops, gripe water, sling, swing, bouncer, boppy, car seat, stroller… she still screams.
)
at first i thought she was having seperation anxiety from her dad bc he left to go to iraq. she cried ( when she is awake) for about three days. then she was ok for a couple days and then it started all over again. if this is colic what can i do to help her?
and if they do, How can it be helped?
I’ll use yesterday as an example. My baby who is almost 13 weeks (and breastfed) did not cry yesterday until 6pm. She goes from happy baby to crying until she turns red in the face all in a split second. Is this colic? The way she’s crying you would think that she’s in pain, but all of a sudden she stops, then starts again. Do colic babies cry like this? I’ve tried gripe water, does not help one bit. I will try Ovol after the next feeding (in about half hour).
Have anyone used "Happi Tummi Natural Colic Relief Waistband" for babies with colic? If so, do you think it really helps the baby?? Please advise! Thanks!
The paediatrician prescribed telament drops for my 6 weeks old child struggling with colic, but it seems to not work at all.
I’ve tried baby massages, walking and patting, etc sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I feel so bad for her because she kicks and screams from pain.
I am breastfeeding, i was told that it might be my diet? I was also told about gripe water. The doctor prescribed telament drops and this potent elixer stuff but it doesnt always seem effective. Im scared of using gripe water as it neutralises the stomach acid but ultimately prevents the stomach acid from doing its job of digesting the milk.
I try the massaging and the hot baths but it only works some of the time, so i feel like i’m exhausting my options
My 4 week old baby girl has Colic. I was wondering what foods I should eliminate out of my diet that can help the colic because I breastfeed. And if anyone has any really good advice on helping my little one through this tough time to ease it along please help me out. Is there anything that I can be doing to help her calm down when she is crying? The swing doesn’t help when she crying. Please help me out, Thanks!
What works for you and your baby? I’ve tried all the things from the baby books and the websites and some help a little but I’m looking for other ideas to try as well. Little tricks that might work for other baby’s that haven’t been mentioned in all the books.
I have a 2 month old baby, it’s our first. She is breastfed exclusively and is growing just fine, but she has a lot of gas ALL the time. My poor baby starts sleeping and you can see her bending and stretching because of the colic, and you can also hear her tummy sounds everytime it happens, so she wakes up very easily and never has a good straight sleep. I know she is not supposed to sleep a lot at this stage, but I would love if she could sleep 2 straight hours in between feedings with less colic. She doesn’t last too much inside her crib before she is awaken by the pain and this puts a lot of stress in my wife. We’ve tried Mylicon and don’t feel it helps much or probably not at all. Has anyone tried anything else that helps with the gas? Thanks.
He is 3 weeks old and I have been breast feeding and he would just scream for a couple of hours a day every time he was awake. I have switched to formula and he is still screaming, it has only benn 24 hrs. I give him gas drops and that helps get the gas out but he doesn’t usaly have alot of gas just a little and he doesn’t pull his legs up to his chest and scream, he just screams and screams, nothing works to calm him!!
I want to try it since my baby seems VERY gassy/fussy, and Mylicon/Ovol/regular gripe water, doesn’t seem to help much. and the Colic Calm is BLACK, and FDA approved, its homeopathic.
